®
read this entire manual. It is important that you
understand and are able to follow all the instructions
in this manual. If you have questions or concerns

Indications For Use
This pump is intended for the delivery of enteral
nutrition and hydration at controlled rates to
patient's gastrointestinal system.
Introduction
GENERAL
Upon receipt of a new pump, plug it in for a minimum
of 12 hours to charge the backup battery. For maximum
battery life, charge the battery at least every 30
days, even if the pump is not in use. Whenever the
backup battery is used to power the pump, charge
for 12 hours as soon as conveniently possible. The
backup battery is designed to provide temporary
power to the pump if AC outlet power is interrupted.
Frequent, extended operation of the pump on the
backup battery will shorten battery life, requiring
service by an authorized service representative. The
COMPAT
Enteral Feeding Pump is an easy-to-use,
®
versatile device for the appropriate administration of
enteral feeding solutions.

Rate adjustable in 1 mL/hr increments from 1
to 295. Dose adjustable in 5 mL increments
from 0 - 9995.
• Lightweight and Portable
An internal backup battery can provide power for
short-term use. While the pump should normally
be operated on AC outlet power, the internal
backup battery can provide operation for up to 8
hours at 100 mL/hr if necessary.
• Ease of Maintenance
The fire resistant plastic case and sealed
control panel helps prevent fluid leakage and allow
cleaning with any mild soap.
• Alarms
Low Battery, Battery On, Dose Complete, and
Occlusion/Empty for detecting empty container or
occluded line.
• 2 ½ minute Hold Alarm
• Low Occlusion Pressure
15 p.s.i. occlusion allows for safe use with any
enteral feeding tube.

recalled when the pump is turned back on.

circuitry check with the push of two buttons.

Cautions

INTENDED EXCLUSIVELY FOR ENTERAL FEEDING。
• Unauthorized modification to any component of
the pump may adversely affect performance or
safety in unpredictable ways.
• Turning rotor may pinch fingers.
• Plug and power outlet should be clear of obstruction.
• To disconnect pump from AC power pull plug from
power outlet.
• Operator should be within a distance that allows
visibility of readouts and ability to hear alarms.
• Wireless communications equipment, such as
mobile phones, can affect this device and should
be kept at least 4 inches (0.1 meter) from the device
during operation.
• Do not operate pump where there is a lot of dust,
dirt or airborne particles.
• Do not operate pump with flow sensor in direct
path of intense light.
• If necessary to dispose of pump, do so in accordance
