delivery of insulin. Seek immediate medical assistance if you
have any health concerns.
Avoid bending or breaking the steel cannula. A broken steel
cannula can remain stuck in the body or remain completely under
the skin and may require surgical removal.
For Healthcare Professionals: Avoid recapping or destroying
the used steel cannula. Recapping or destroying the used steel
cannula can lead to accidental sharps injury which can transmit
serious infections. Healthcare professionals must follow the spe-
cific directions of local policies for healthcare personnel when
using infusion sets, including directions for recapping and dis-
posing. Seek immediate medical assistance if you receive a
sharps injury.
Caution (please note)
• Change the infusion site regularly in accordance with your health
care professional's recommendations. If this is not done, you risk
infusion site infection, insulin resistance and / or lipohypertrophy.
• Consult your healthcare professional to choose the correct can-
nula length. Your healthcare professional can provide recommen-
dations regarding the specific type of infusion set that is best
matched to your needs to ensure accurate delivery of insulin.
• Do not put perfumes, deodorants or insect repellents on the

tegrity of the infusion set. Protect the product from sunlight and
heat. Store the YpsoPump
location at room temperature and avoid high humidity.
Disposal
You must follow your health care professional's advice and local
government regulations for disposal of all used needles/sharps.
