Procedure

Set the address if you want to carry out addressing prior to installation.

Guide the ribbon cable through the opening in the motor terminal box and plug the 16-
pin female connector onto the function board. Then attach the module to the motor ter-
minal box with 4 screws.

Snap the yellow AS-Interface cable and the black power cable into the conductor guide
on the AS-Interface cover and screw the cover onto the module.

If necessary, connect up to 2 sensors to the M12 socket.

Set the address if you have not carried out step 1.

Note the following:
• Cover unused M12 sockets with screw plugs (Order-No.: 3RK1901-1KA00) to obtain degree
of protection IP 65.
• Do not connect inputs and outputs without electical isolation!
• In the event of an interruption in communications, the outputs are reset after approx.
20 to 100 ms.
• In the event of a short-circuit or overloading of the sensor supply, a reset takes place.
