The add-on module is designed for activating motor starters in motor terminal boxes (micro-
starters). The module has two 5-pin M12 sockets for connecting sensors (PNP) using two-wire
and three-wire technology.
The 16 pin socket connector (2 row) facing outwards on the back is for connecting a function
board (e.g. 3RK1902-0DB00).
The module is attached to the external wall of adap-
ted terminal box casings using four M3.5 x 20 mm
screws.
The communications connection and the auxiliary
power supply (AUX PWR) go through the yellow or
black AS-Interface trapezoidal-section cable.
To be able to set the address, you require the following:
• the addressing unit (order no. 3RK1904-2AB00) or the M236A diagnostics and service unit
(from GOSSEN Metrawatt).
Valid addresses are 1 to 31. Use each address once only.
After addressing has been completed, re-attach the screw plug to obtain degree of protection
IP 65
Screw plug: tightening torque 40 +/- 5 Ncm
