Product description

Designated use
The overrun device is an integral part of the braking
system of the trailer and must be fully mounted and
inspected before it is used for connecting the trailer to
the towing vehicle.
Permissible weight range in accordance with type
specifications:
AE Profi V3000: 1600 - 3000 kg

AE Profi V3500: 2000 - 3500 kg

Using this option for any other or additional purpose is
considered contrary to its designated use. The manu-
facturer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting
from such use.
Possible misuse
Caution!
Do not use the breakaway cable guide ring for
towing and pulling!
Tension on the ring will cause it to bend and the
spring assembly of the parking brake to jump out
of its mount.
Risk of accident due to failure of the parking brake!
The permissible overall weight is stamped on every
„
overrun device. The overall weight of the trailer
must not exceed this value.

Assembly

Installation on the vehicle must meet the require-
„
ments of Directive 94/20/EC, Annex VII.
Any applicable installation guidelines must be taken „
into consideration.
The breakaway cable must always be properly in-
„
serted through a breakaway cable guide ring (
The hand-brake lever may not rest on the ground in
„
an emergency. It is essential that appropriate clea-
rance be provided (
So that the screw heads fit better to the elongated
„
holes of the overrun device, we recommend rein-
forced washers ( 13 DIN 7349 or a similar washer
that is at least 4 mm thick).
Warning - risk of accident!
In an emergency, it must be ensured that the hand-
brake lever remains free to move after activation
using the breakaway cable (hand-brake in closed
position).
If the hand-brake were to contact the surface
of the roadway, the emergency brake would no
longer function!
AL-KO recommends mounting a support clip
( 2-1) and testing the free movement with the
hand-brake fully engaged (emergency brake
activated).
