2. Connecting the Preview Monitor
A major feature of Director's Cut is the ability to preview video footage on a TV
screen (refered as preview monitor) while you import, edit or export. It is
strongly recommended that you make use of such a preview monitor, as it
allows you to see how the final result will look like once exported.
All connections from Director's Cut to the VCR need to be made in the
"Ouput" section on the back panel.
Connect the S-Video/Composite and audio cables as shown on figure 2.
Note: If your camcorder does not have stereo sound, you should connect
one audio cable to the left channel on Director's Cut

3. Connecting a VCR for playback/copy back
The edited video can be copied back to a VCR using Director's Cut.
The connections between Director's Cut and your VCR need to be made in the
"Output" section on the back panel.
Connect the S-Video/Composite and audio cables as shown on figure 3.

4. Connecting a single VCR for capture and export
You can use a single VCR to capture and export video footage to/from your
computer. This configuration will still allow you to connect a preview monitor
(refer to fig. 2).
