Setting the bevel angle
Loosen the lock knobs for bevel angle (11)
and tilt the soleplate (9) to the required
angle.
Retighten the lock knobs.
If you have set the bevel angle to precisely
0° or 45°, saw according to the 0° or 45° mark
respectively at the front right of the soleplate
(9a).
If you have set the bevel angle to precisely
0° or 45°, you can calibrate the bevel angle
using the � ne adjustment screws (8, 8a).
Use
Make the relevant adjustments for the job in
hand and then plug the plunge saw in.
On and off
Press the safety button (1) and hold it there.
Push the on/off button (2) in to start the
plunge saw motor. Once the motor is
running, you can release the safety button.
Release the on/off button to stop the saw.
Never put the saw down until the blade has
completely stopped.
Sawing without guide rail
Hold by the saw handles (3, 15).
Place the soleplate (9) in front of the
workpiece.
Switch the saw on and allow it to reach full
speed.

Press the saw down so that the blade
engages with the workpiece and push the
saw forward with moderate pressure.
Never pull the saw backwards while sawing.
Sawing with guide rail
(only with purchase of 33048)
Place the guide rail (21) on the workpiece so
that the rubber lip is at the saw line.
Place the groove (20) on the soleplate down
onto the guide on the guide rail so that the
plunge saw is held in place.
Hold by the saw handles (3, 15).
Switch the saw on and allow it to reach full
speed.
Press the saw down so that the blade
engages with the workpiece and push the
saw forward with moderate pressure.
Never pull the saw backwards while sawing.
Jig sawing
If you want to jig saw the workpiece, you
need to be very aware of the risk of kickback
when the blade comes into contact with the
workpiece. It may be necessary to secure or
support the soleplate (9) so that it cannot
move while the blade is working through the
workpiece.
When jig sawing, you can use the cutting
width marks (16) to keep an eye on where
the cut is. The two cutting width marks (16)
show the position of the blade for plunge
sawing (at maximum sawing depth).
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the saw by wiping exterior parts with
a damp cloth. Use a brush to remove any
� lings and dirt from diffi cult to access places.
