6. Fit the new saw blade and the other
parts in the reverse order. Check that the
direction speci ed on the blade matches
the direction of rotation of the motor.
Connecting the dust extraction
Turn the dust extractor nozzle (17) to the
required position and connect it to a vacuum
cleaner or a dust extractor, if necessary using
the dust extraction adapter (7).
Checking the blade screen function
Place the saw's soleplate on the edge of a
at surface and lower the saw. Check that
the saw automatically turns back to the start
position.
Assembling the guide rail (only with
purchase of 33048)
Insert the joint links (23) into the grooves on
the underside of the two parts of the guide
rail (21) and push the parts fully together.
Tighten the locks screws (22) using the small
Allen key (4).
The rubber lip on the guide rail protects the
edge of the workpiece against shredding
during sawing. Before initial use, cut the
rubber lip on the guide rail.
Place the saw on the guide rail as described
below, and make a cut all along the length of
the guide rail with a saw depth of around 10
mm. Dispose of the rubber lip strip that has
been cut off .
Assembling the plunge saw on the guide
rail (only with purchase of 33048)
Place the plunge saw on the guide rail (21) so
that the raised area on the guide rail engages
in the groove (20) on the plunge saw. Note
how big the gap is between the plunge saw
and the guide rail. If necessary, adjust the
eccentric screws (10) so that the plunge saw's
soleplate can be moved forward without
diffi culty on the guide rail with a minimal
gap.
Adjustment
Setting the saw depth
Loosen the lock knob (12) and move the
depth stop to the required position.
If you are not using the guide rail, the depth
stop must be positioned so that the A mark is
lined up with the required sawing depth on
the depth scale (13).
If you are using the guide rail, the depth stop
must be positioned so that the B mark is
lined up with the required sawing depth on
the depth scale (13).
Retighten the lock knob (12).
The saw depth must be only slightly greater
than the thickness of the workpiece so that
the saw blade does not stick out from the
bottom of the workpiece more than the
height of 1 saw tooth.
