Removal Of Oxygenator From The Holder At The End Of Bypass; Maintenance; Limited Warranty; Caution - dideco D 625 Instrucciones Para El Uso

a) Secure the D 623 or D 625 holder to the pump
pole at a suitable height by using knob (ref. 2).
b) Properly place the adjustable arms of the holder.
It is possible to rotate them upside down by 180°
by using the screws (ref. 12).
c) Turn the lever (ref. 13) to "OPEN" position to
insert the LILLIPUT on the water distributor
(ref. 14) after removing the black cover (ref. 5).
Check that the latches driven by the red buttons
secure the oxygenator (ref. 15).
d) Turn the lever (ref. 13) to "CLOSE" position to
seal the water side of the heat exchanger.
e) Verify the water collector (ref. 16), integral with
the water inlet connector (ref. 19), is located in
the upper position.
f) The (D 623/D 625) holder and the thermocircu-
lator can be connected by means of two SORIN
GROUP ITALIA female Hansen connectors code
9028. Two 1/2" tubes can be used as an
alternative; they should be as short as possible.
g) The Rigid Reserve support arm of the D 625
(ref. 8) can house both the Lilliput 1 reserve and
the Lilliput 2 reserve by simply turning the
support (ref. 22) at the end of the arm.
This operation is made possible by the lever
(ref. 21).
h) In order to remove the Rigid Reserve support
arm from the D 625 (ref. 8) proceed as follows:
1) raise the black ring nut protection (ref. 23).
2) Unscrew the lower knurled ring nut.

3) Press the arm and turn it.
4) Remove the arm.

CAUTION

If tubings are used, secure water connections
with ties.
Connection with SORIN GROUP ITALIA female
Hansen connectors code 9028 enables quick hol-
der replacement. The same connection with
tubings takes longer.
F. REMOVAL OF OXYGENATOR FROM
HOLDER AT THE END OF BY-PASS
At the end of each procedure:
a) Turn the thermocirculator off.
b) Remove collector (ref. 16), through a short
downwards clockwise rotation. Do not pull the
collector (ref. 16) downward to prevent vacuum
formation inside the collector.
c) Clamp water lines keeping them connected to the
holder.
d) Turn the lever (ref. 13) to "OPEN" position to
open the water chamber.
e) Slip the collector downwards (ref. 16) to collect
all the water inside the heat exchanger.
G. MAINTENANCE
a) Possible water leakages between LILLIPUT and
(D 623/D 625) holder can be caused for three
reasons:
1) lever (ref. 13) is not in "CLOSE" position;
2) foreign bodies are present between O-Ring
and oxygenator;
3) O-Rings on the top (ref. 17) and on the bottom
(ref. 18) of the water distributor (ref. 14) must
be changed.
CAUTION
- Lubricate O-Rings with spray silicon grease
once a week as indicated on the yellow label
(ref. 24) on the black protection (ref. 5):
"NOTE: Please lubricate the top and bottom
O-Rings on the white spiral component of the
holder once a week.
- SORIN GROUP ITALIA suggests you replace
O-Rings every 6 months.
b) To change O-Rings act as follows:
1) Unscrew screw (ref. 20) on water distributor
top (ref. 14).
2) Remove water distributor (ref. 14).
3) Replace both O-Rings paying attention to their
diameters: the bigger one (ref. 18) on the
bottom while the smaller on the top (ref. 17).
4) Replace water distributor (ref. 14) and the
black cover on the water distributor itself.
c) Water from LILLIPUT heat exchanger is collected
by a silicon membrane through the collector
(16). In case of having to replace this
membrane, contact SORIN GROUP ITALIA or an
authorised area representative.
H. LIMITED WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty is in addition to any statu-
tory rights of the Purchaser pursuant to applicable
law.

care has been taken in the manufacture of this
medical device, as required by the nature of the
device and the use for which the device is intended.
