7. Maintenance
Ceramic Valve Replacement
- Shut off the main water supply.
- Turn faucet handle on to relieve water pressure.
- Loosen setscrew in back of the handle.
- Remove the handle being careful not to damage the finish.
- Remove the screw and gently pry loose and remove both spline
adapters.
- Using a wrench, unthread and remove existing valve.
- Thread new ceramic valve into faucet body until it is hand tight.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Over tightening may damage
ceramic valve and result in internal leakage.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten valve 23-30 ft. lbs. (31-40.6Nm). If
torque wrench is not available, tighten 1/8 turn past hand tight
position.
- Reinstall both spline adapters and secure with screw.
- Properly align handle and press in place. Tighten the setscrew.
- Turn on water supply and check for leaks.
