Clean and check the item, including any accessories, after every use. After use in
salt water, please rinse it thoroughly and remove salt residue. For cleaning, please
use only mild soapy water (no detergents or silicon-based cleaning agents). Only
store your board under completely dry conditions.

If there is a slight loss of air, check whether the valve needs to be tightened using
the valve key, whether there is any sand or dirt in the valve, or whether the ambi-
ent temperature has possibly fallen considerably since inflation. Any change in the
surrounding temperature causes a change in pressure in the chamber; a deviation of
1°C changes the internal pressure in the chamber by +/- 4mBar (0.06 psi).
If you can exclude these as causes of air loss, you can detect smaller holes or cracks
by rubbing the filled hose body with soapy water and observing where bubbles form.
Mark the leak to be repaired with a pencil. Then let the air out of the board and
place it so that the area to be repaired is as flat as possible. Take a repair patch and
the adhesive from the enclosed repair kit. Round off the corners of the patch, and
use a pencil to draw where you want the patch to go on the board. Then clean the
marked area of the board and one side of the patch thoroughly – e.g., with acetone
– and avoid leaving fingerprints after, as the area must be completely free of grease
and dry. Then apply the special glue to both the repair area and the patch, let it
dry for a few minutes, and then place the patch exactly on the bordered area of the
To prevent air loss, tighten
the valve from time to time
with the valve key provided.
To do this, remove the valve
cover, put on the key and turn
it clockwise. Hold the valve
body with the other hand when
doing this, so that it does not
rotate.
