Alternatively, you have the option of assembling parts A, B and D into a kayak
paddle as shown in the illustration. To do this, insert part B into part A and make
sure that the button engages (see picture). Otherwise you may lose part A while
paddling. Close the clamp. Proceed in the same way when assembling parts B and
D.
8. Use of leash and transport rubber band
Attach the leash to the eyelet at the rear end of the SUP as shown above. The other
end of the leash is closed around the ankle with a hook and loop fastener strip. The
leash connects you to your board and prevents the board from drifting away if you
fall into the water. You can stow a bag, rucksack or similar under the rubber straps.
9. Disassembling fins and deinflating
Let the board dry after paddling. Dismantle first the fins by pushing the safety pin,
then take the fins from their guides (see image). Turn the board upside down with
the valve facing up and open the valve cover after you have cleaned the valve and
the surrounding area from dirt. Push the valve pin down. Now the air initially flows
out of the board under high pressure. When the air pressure drops slightly after
about 10 seconds, lock the valve pin in the „open" position by pushing it all the way
through and simultaneously turning it 90° counterclockwise. Roll up the SUP from
the end. This presses the air out of the board.
Alternatively, you can attach the pump hose to the „DEFLATE" opening on the air
pump and deflate the board that way. Once the board is empty, put the valve pin
back in the upper position and close the valve cap.
