Chapter 3. Machine adjustment and setting up

3.1. Direction of rotation check

Before starting machine operation check the correct direction of rotation by following these
instructions:
Turn the main switch (1) to pos. 1. Partially extract (about 20 cm) the electrical unit after having removed the four
fastening screws (34). Press the pushbutton of contactor QM3 manually (figure 3.1.A page 66) and check that the
fan rotates clockwise. Otherwise invert two of the three phases of the electrical plug.
Press the emergency pushbutton (8) to get the machine into START position (figure 3.1.B page 66).
Close the switch block again and release the emergency pushbutton (8) by turning it to the right.
N.B.: The direction of rotation check should be carried out every time you change the electrical plug.

ELECTRONIC BOARD FEATURES
The machine is equipped with 6 selectable programs:
Program No.
P1
P2
P3
P4/P5/P6
Each program consists of 6 variables which can be modified (if it is not possible to set one of them, such a variable will
obviously not appear on the display):
Variable
1.
Sealing
2.
Fan delay after sealing
3.
Shrinking
4.
Belt time
5.
Automatic cycle pause time
6.
Temperature
The machine is equipped with a piece counter to show on display (D2) the number of sealing operations.
Such a value can be reset to zero at any time with the reset button (4).
STEP 1 = SWITCHING THE MACHINE ON
Turn the main switch (1) to pos. 1. Before using the machine, wait until the temperature set is reached. This is signalled
by the warning light (A) going out. The display (D1) comes on and the number of the currently selected program will
appear.
STEP 2 = PROGRAMS SELECTION
Press button (P) to select the number of the program.
STEP 3 = VARIABLES PROGRAMMING
Use button (S) to scroll through the variables of the selected program, and buttons (2) and (3) to change the values
saved.
To confirms changes, press button (S) until the number of the program appears on the display.
The fan delay time after sealing can be modified; there is not a LED indicating this variable which is shown with an "r" on
the left display, while the right one shows the time which has been set. At the end of all variables to be adjusted, the
display will show the code of the program just edited (for example P1).
N.B.: If during programming the B limit switch is pressed, the unit quits programming, the selected program is run and the
display (D1) shows the number of the program.
STEP 4 = RUN
Once all adjustments have been made, the machine is ready to start working.
