will probably bend and cause personal injury if it is allowed to rotate freely without contact with the workpiece.
Apply pressure only in the direction of the drill axis. Do not apply excessive pressure. The drill can bend, causing breakage
or loss of control which will result in personal injury.
PREPARATION FOR WORK
ATTENTION! All the operations mentioned in this point must be realised with the power supply off .
Adjustments of rotation and torque
The automatic return screwdriver has two mechanical gears (II). Depending on the selected maximum rotation, it is required to
select one of them. The lower rotation gear is recommended for tightening and loosening screws, while the high rotation gear is
recommended for drilling.
Torque is adjusted with the ring located behind the chuck (III). The higher the adjusted number, the higher the torque of the auto-
matic return screwdriver. Do not set a higher torque than necessary for a correct work. Otherwise, the threads may be damaged. In
case screws are driven directly into the material, it is required experiment with adequate torque, realising tests on waste material.
If the maximum torque, which is safe for the given connection, is unknown, it is required set the lowest value, and then increase
it until the value which is appropriate for the given task has been reached. When the automatic return screwdriver reaches the
maximum set torque, the overload clutch will be activated, and it is required to stop tightening the bolt.
In case the tool is used to drill holes, it is required to set the ring to the drill symbol, and then the overload clutch will be deactivated,
and the maximum torque will be transmitted to the drill.
Attention! Do not use settings indicated with numbers for drilling. Activation of the overload clutch during drilling may cause dam-
age to the material or the drill and increases the risk of injuries.
Installation of drill bits in the drill chuck
Select an adequate drill bit with a cylindrical drill shank.
Place the drill bit in the chuck. Hold the rear part of the chuck with one hand and tighten the front part of the chuck with another
hand until the drill bit is secured (IV).
Select the highest torque.
Adjustment of the direction of rotation
Place the selector of rotation, the rotation direction is marked by an arrows. (V).
Attention! The direction of rotation may be changed only if the power supply is off ! It is prohibited to change the direction of
rotation during operation of the drill and screwer!
Installation of screwdriver bits in the drill chuck
Place a bit holder in the drill chuck and install an adequate bit. (VI)
Before work:
The processed material must be appropriately fi xed, using an anvil or clamps.
Use tools which are appropriate for the task to be realised. Make sure they are sharpened and in good conditions.
Wear working clothes and sight and hearing protection.
Plug the cord to the mains.
Hold the drill with both hands (VII).
Adapt a position that guarantees equilibrium.
Turn the hammer drill off , pressing the switch with a fi nger.
Attention! In case any suspicious sounds or smell are detected the hammer drill must be immediately disconnected from the
mains.
USING OF THE TOOL
Attention! Use hearing protection while using the tool!
Using right or left rotation
The right rotation should be used while drilling with common dextrorotatory drill bits.
The left rotation should be used if the dextrorotatory drill bit is seized in the material and to remove bolts. In case of removing
bolts, use the lowest rotation.
Drilling in wood
Before making a hole it is recommended to secure the material with clamps or in an anvil, and then to mark the point to be drilled
