Combined with the ZBNA arm series, this product is designed for control of vehicle transit.
The barrier body is equipped with:
- Barrier housing and door in paint-finished steel (AISI 316 in version INOX ZBNC/I)
- Barrier cover in paint-finished steel.
- Arm support cover in paint-finished steel.
- Low voltage motor, 12 Volt DC, with gears enclosed in two welded die-cast aluminium sections and permanent grease lubrication.
- Manual release in plastic.
- Arm support flange and balancer in galvanised steel.
- Electronic control unit with card for control of 1 or 2 motors (in the case of two combined barriers, connect the power supply unit of the second motor only.).

IMPORTANT! CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH INSTALLATION
The following warnings are an integral and essential part of the product. They provide important information regarding installation use and
maintenance. Always store carefully and transfer to any subsequent users of the system. Incorrect installation or improper use of the product
may constitute a serious hazard.
· Installation must be performed by professionally qualified personnel in observance of current national and European legislation.
· - After removing the packaging check the condition of the device. If in doubt, consult a qualified technician
· Packaging materials (carton, plastic bags, staples, polystyrene, etc.) must be disposed of in suitable containers and must not be dispersed into the envi-
ronment. Above all they must be kept out of the reach of children.
· The installation, electrical connections and settings must be executed in accordance with sound engineering practice. Make certain that the data on the
data plate conform with the mains electrical supply data and make certain that the section of the connection cables is suitable for the loads applied.
· Do not install the product in environments where there is a risk of explosion or which are disturbed by electromagnetic fields. The presence of inflammable
gases or fumes constitutes a serious hazard.
· Equip the mains supply with a suitable overvoltage protection device, a switch/disconnector and/or differential for the product and in conformity with the
standards in force.
· Clearly indicate the use of a remote control on the barrier by means of a specific notice.
· ELVOX s.p.a. denies all liability for damage incurred when devices and/or components are used that are incompatible in terms of product integrity, safety
and operation.
· This equipment must be used exclusively as specified in design; any other use is to be considered improper and therefore hazardous.
· Always disconnect the equipment from the power supply by means of the main switch or by removing the plug before performing maintenance or cleaning.
Use exclusively original spare parts for repairs and replacements.
· The installer must provide all information regarding operation, maintenance and use of the single parts and the system as a whole.
IMPORTANT sAFETY INFORMATION
The installer and drive manufacturer are obliged to comply with the following safety conditions:
1. When moving, the arm must not come into contact with any obstacles.
2. The motor-powered system is mainly used for vehicle transit. In the case of pedestrian access, protect any potential zones of crushing, shearing, entrap-
ment and hazards in general by means of safety devices compliant with current standards and legislation.
3. The barrier activation controls must be placed in a visible location outside the operating range.
MECHANICAL INsTALLATION OF BARRIER BODY (Fig. 1, 2, 3)
1. To access the internal section of the barrier body, open the cover using the special key supplied. Insert the key in the lock and rotate through 90° an-
ti-clockwise. Press lightly upwards to remove the cover.
IMPORTANT! The cover on the rear is fitted with two pins connected to the barrier housing, and therefore take care when lifting.
2. After preparing the cable routing, fix the barrier using 4 plugs on the ELVOX anchoring plate type ZX31.
If using plate type ZX31, prepare a concrete bed and embed the bolts welded to the plate. The plate must be completely level and the cable pipes must
be routed inside the central hole. Fix the barrier body using the 4 bolts supplied with the plate.
In any event, ensure a robust and stable fixture.
3. The barriers are supplied as standard with a LEFT-HAND configuration.
This means that the barrier body is installed on the left-hand side as viewed from the accessible section, with the direction of the arm to the right. The
balancer, travel limiter, is factory set to obtain an opening of approx. 90°. To modify the opening/closing position, adjust the two M12x40 screws to set the
arm limit as required. The arm support flange is designed for insertion horizontally in the motor shaft with the end section facing the right as viewed from
the exterior.
