Incorrect use or handling of the power cord may cause damage to
the power cord. If damage has occurred to the power cord or any of
its components, remove the Allen Advance Table from service
immediately, and contact the applicable maintenance persons.
•
Do not expose the unit to excessive moisture.
•
Fluid spills on to the electronics can cause a hazard. If such a spill
occurs, unplug the unit and remove it from service. When fluid
spills occur outside that seen in normal use, immediately do as
follows:

Be aware of these pinch points on the Allen Advance Table:

Between the caster and base skins
–
Between an H-bracket and the column
–
Between the head of the cross pin and the end cap during an
extreme tilt and Trendelenburg, or Reverse Trendelenburg
position
–
Between the cross-pin drop lock and bowtie
–
Between an H-bracket and the column during the removal of a
cross pin

The unit is not intended for patient transport. However, if you must
use the unit to transport a patient, make sure that the unit is in its
lowest position and the patient is in a level position (not tilted).
•
Before you transport the unit, make sure of these:
–
The unit is in its lowest position.
–
The power cord is disconnected from the facility power outlet
and stored on the unit.
–
Accessories, supports, and any equipment that is to be
transported with the unit are within the perimeter of the unit
and secure on the unit.

Unplug the unit from its power source.
Remove the patient from the unit.
Clean the fluid spill from the unit.
Have maintenance examine the unit completely.
Do not put the unit back into service until it is completely
dry, tested, and determined to be safe to operate.
