1 GENERAL WARNINGS
1.1 SAFETY WARNINGS
This installation manual is only intended for professional personnel. All the instructions must be read before proceeding with installation. All that not
expressly stated in these instructions is not allowed; uses other than those intended may be a source of damage to the product and endanger persons
or property. The manufacturer denies all liability for failure to observe good practices in the construction of gates, as well as any deformations that may
occur during use. Keep this manual for future reference. The design and manufacture of the devices making up the FORT and this manual fully comply
with regulations in force.
Considering the risk situations that may arise during installation and use of the FORT, the installation too must fully comply with laws, standards and
regulations, in particular:
1.2 WARNINGS FOR INSTALLATION
• Before commencing installation works, check whether any additional devices and materials are needed to complete the FORT automation based
on the specific situation of use.
• The automation must not be used until the gate has been placed in safe conditions.
• The packaging material must be disposed of in full compliance with local legislation.
1.3 WARNINGS FOR USE
• Do not make any changes to any parts unless provided for by this manual. Operations of this type will only cause malfunctions. The manufacturer
denies all liability for damage resulting from modified products.
• Do not submerge parts of the automation in water or any other liquid substance. Also during installation, make sure no liquids infiltrate the control
unit and other open devices.
• If liquid substances infiltrate any of the automation devices, immediately disconnect the electrical power supply and contact the help service; use
of FORT in these circumstances may cause risk situations.
• Keep all FORT components away from sources of heat and flames to prevent their damage and possible malfunction, fires or dangerous
situations.
• During long periods of non-use, to avoid the risk of harmful substances leaking from the optional battery, the latter should be removed and stored
in a dry place.
• The control unit must only be connected to a properly grounded electrical power line (for class I models).
• All operations requiring opening of the FORT protective enclosure must occur with the control unit disconnected from the power supply; if the
disconnection device is not visible, affix a sign: "MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS".
• If automatic switches or fuses are tripped, the fault must be identified and eliminated before they can be reset.
• In case of a fault that cannot be resolved using the information in this manual, contact the help service.
• The device cannot be used by children under 8 years of age or by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by persons
without experience or the necessary knowledge, unless they are supervised or unless they have received instructions regarding safe use of
the device and have understood the dangers inherent thereto. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance operations
reserved to the user must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• Do not allow children to play with the automation controls. Keep the radio controls out of reach of children. Regularly inspect the installation to
check for any damaged cables, springs and mechanical parts. Do not use the automation if it needs to be repaired.
