Introduction
This device enables you to measure the surface
temperatures at the push of a button.
The integrated laser helps you to focus the object to
be measured.
The backlight and the functional design ensure
convenient measurements.
The device is able to measure the surfaces tempera-
tures which were not possible to measure with the
conventional method (contact measurement).
Even the temperature of rotating and live objects can
be measured using this device.
Note
It is not recommended to use the
device for measurements on metallic
bright or polished surfaces (stainless
steal, aluminium etc.), which has not
undergone appropriate pre-treatment.
See section "Emissivity".
It is not possible to measure objects behind transpar-
ent surfaces e.g. glass since only the surface tem-
perature of the glass is measured in this case.
Steam, dust, smoke etc. can affect the measurement
negatively with respect to precision.

Adjustment of electromagnetic radiation:
The emissivity (electromagnetic radiation) can be
adjusted digitally from 0.10 to 1.0.
LOCK on/off:
The lock mode is especially recommended if the
temperature is to be monitored for a longer period.
Press the up [19] or down [17] key to switch
this function on or off.
Press the actuator [4] to acknowledge the lock
mode. The device shows the temperature until
the actuator [4] is pressed again.
Press the up [19] or down [17] key in the lock
mode to adjust the emissivity.
HAL (LOW) on/off:
Press the up [19] or down [17] key to switch
this function on or off.
Press the actuator [4] to acknowledge the high
(low) alarm message.
HAL (LOW) adjustment:
