English Instruction
WARNING
Make sure you are familiar with the operating instructions before
you use this machine.
This machine, its attachments and accessories must only be used
for the purpose for which they were designed:
This motor is intended for mounted wheels and rotary burrs only.
Never use grinding wheels attached with an adapter as this ma-
chine is not fitted with a wheel guard.
For product liability and safety reasons any modification to the
machine, its attachments or accessories must be agreed in advance
with an authorized technical representative of the manufacturer.
To prevent personal injury and long time risks:
– Before making any adjustments to the machine, e.g. changing an
accessory, please ensure that the air supply is disconnected.
– Check the free speed of the machine at regular intervals and
whenever the machine has been serviced. This check should
be carried out with the grinding equipment detached. The
maximum permissible speed as marked on the machine must
not be exceeded.
– The grinding equipment must be approved for the rated speed
of the machine.
– When fitting mounted wheels or burrs, reduce the overhang
by pushing the shank all the way into the collet (Check also
with the recommendations given by the tool manufacturer).
Before starting the machine, check that the collet is properly
tightened.
Air quality
– For optimum performance and maximum machine life we recom-
mend use of compressed air with a dew-point between +2°C and
+10°C.
– Air quality according to ISO/DIS 8573-1, quality class 2.4.3. to 3.5.4.
is recommended.
– Use a separate air filter, installed as close as possible to the machine.
Blow out the hose before connecting.
– For lubrication free vanes. There is no disadvantage for the opera-
tion of the machine if the compressed air contains a small quantity
of oil (50 mm
/m
). With extremely dry air service life of vanes may

be reduced.
Compressed air connection
– The machine is designed for a working pressure (e) of 6–7 bar =
600–700 kPa = 87–102 psi.
– Connect the machine to the air line according to figure page 4. Blow
out the hose before connecting.
Maintenance
Rust protection and internal cleaning
Water in the compressed air, dust and wear particles cause rust and
sticking of vanes, valves etc.
This can be solved by flushing with oil (some drops), running the
machine for 5-10 seconds and absorbing the oil in a cloth. Make it
before longer standstills.
Lubrication recommendations:
Subject to technical alterations
WARNING
Dismantling and assembly precautions
The rotor blades (vanes) in the tool have a PTFE content. The normal
Health and Safety recommendations concerning PTFE must be
observed when handling these rotor blades. Particles from wear
of blades might be found in the machine housing or on the blades.
These particles must not get in contact with open fire. Wash your
hands before smoking as PTFE-particles heated by the glow can
produce fumes which may give rise to allergic reaction.
Lubrication
Air motor
Use lubricants of good quality, 4 drops per minute (50 mm
The oils and greases listed in the lubrication table are examples of
lubricants that can be recommended.
Gears
Planetary gears, ball- and needle bearings and seal ring should be
lubricated with grease in conjunction with the regular overhaul of the
motor. Molykote BR2 Plus gives long intervals between lubrications.
Always use lubricants of good quality. The greases mentioned in the
chart are examples of lubricants which are recommended.

Overhaul
The entire machine should be checked regularly at six-months inter-
vals. If it is in heavy duty service or not running properly it should be
taken out of service more often for inspection.
The strainer at the air inlet should be cleaned frequently to prevent
clogging and decreased capacity.
Important
– Be particularly careful with the speed governor. Car less
handling may put it out of order.
Always check the free speed of the machine after service.
For lubrication free vanes
The cylinder surface must be smooth and unscored.
Note
Clean the motor parts and apply a thin layer of gleitmo 585
K-00 grease (180 g – Ordering No. 4080 0871 80) onto the
vanes and inner surface of cylinder and end plates. Assemble
the motor and check that it is running free. Add two drops of
oil through the air inlet and run the motor at idling speed for
5-10 seconds.
Selected Service Kits
The spare parts included in the service kits cover a normal overhaul
of your machine. Always have them available in your workshop for a
fast and economical repair.
The use of other than genuine replacement parts may result in de-
creased tool performance and increased maintenance and may, at
the company option, invalidate all warranties.
