Switching the display

During the charging process you can repeatedly
press the „V / A / %" button (2) to display the
following parameters:
V = charging voltage
A = charging current
% = battery charge condition

Switching battery types

Only BC715:
STD = for batteries with liquid electrolyte (WET),
maintenance-free lead-acid batteries (MF) and
enhanced-flooded batteries (EFB)
EFB = enhanced-flooded batteries (STD)
AGM = absorbed glass mat batteries
GEL = gel electrolyte batteries
Use jump start function (jump start
mode)
Only BC715:
The charger's jump start function can be used to
help start vehicles with a weak battery. In very
low temperatures or if the battery voltage is
below 9.5 V charge the battery at least 5 minutes
before jump starting.
1. Connect the charger as described under "Con-
necting The Device".
2. Repeatedly press the MODE (14) button to
select jump start mode 12V/100A.
The display shows the current battery voltage.
The battery will be charged at 5 A until the engine
is started.
Note:
The jump starting mode will automatically stop
after approx. 30 seconds to prevent damage to
the device.
Attention!
Do not turn the ignition for more than 5 seconds
at a time.
3. Try starting the vehicle.
Note:
Try starting for max. 5 seconds. Wait approx. 3
minutes before trying to start it again to allow the
charger and battery to cool down.
4. Jump starting mode will be disabled for 3 mi-
nutes. The battery will be charged at 5 A until
the engine is started. The display will show a
180 second countdown.
5. Once the engine has started, unplug the mains
plug from the 230 V mains socket.
6. Disconnect the black (-) terminal connection
cable with clamp (7) from the negative battery
terminal.
7. Disconnect the red (+) terminal connection
cable with clamp (8) from the positive battery
terminal.

Power Supply mode

1. Connect the charger as described under „Con-
necting The Device".
2. Hold the Power Supply mode button (10) for 1
second. The LED (9) will light up.
The charger will keep powering electronic
systems in your vehicle, even if the battery is
disconnected from the vehicle.
3. To exit Power Supply mode, hold the Power
Supply mode button (10) for 1 second. The
LED (9) goes out.
Complete charging and disconnect

1. First, remove the plug from the 230V power
socket.
2. Disconnect the black (-) terminal connection
cable (5) from the negative battery terminal.
3. Disconnect the red (+) terminal connection
cable (6) from the positive battery terminal.
Charging
current
2 A: Intended Use
For charging low and medium capacity batteries
(6 V / 12 V) (e.g. lorries or tractors, garden trac-
tors, or motorcycles).
6 V/8 A and 12 V/15 A: Intended Use
For charging high capacity batteries (e.g. marine
or large deep-cycle batteries) or to quick-charge
medium or higher capacity batteries.
100 A: Intended Use
Helps start vehicles and equipment with a weak
battery.
