Operation

Checking the DC voltage

When placing the probes on an DC voltage within the rated voltage range, one of the lower (12 V +~-) LEDs and the LED arranged
above it illuminate according to the voltage applied. The lower 12 V LEDs indicate the polarity at the main probe. ( + or - )
If the threshold value of approx. 40 V is exceeded, the ELV LED will also illuminate and clear tone will be heard. This indicates the
presence of a hazardous voltage!
The ELV LED may not be used for measurement purposes.

Checking the AC voltage

When placing the probes on an AC voltage within the rated voltage range, both of the lower (12 V +~-) LEDs and the LEDs
arranged above them illuminate in accordance with the voltage applied. The simultaneous illumination of the lower LEDs indicates
AC voltage (~).
If the threshold value of approx. 40 V is exceeded, the ELV LED will also illuminate and clear tone will be heard. This indicates the
presence of a hazardous voltage!
The ELV LED may not be used for measurement purposes.

Phase test

Protective clothing and insulation locations can influence the function!
Place the main probe on the large handling zone of a conductor.
The display indicating the phase conductor can be restricted by a range of situations, e.g. by insulating fixtures
to protect against direct contact, in adverse positions, for example on wooden ladders or insulating floor
coverings, of a voltage not earthed or also in adverse lighting conditions.
For safety, check for two-pole de-energization.
The phase can also be determined by checking the external conductor against the protective earth. With a phase conductor, the
voltage applied should be indicated.
During this test, make sure that an additional current flows across the protective conductor. This adds to the
already existing current and could trigger the circuit breaker (FI/RCD)

One-hand test (Schuko socket)

The rails on the test line on the left-hand area of the right handling zone and the right-hand area of the left handling zone permit the
arrest of the two handling zones.

Continuity test

(Place the probes on each other to activate)
Place the probes on the line to be tested, fuse or similar. Given a resistance of 0 - 650 k, the continuity LED illuminates and an
acoustic signal sounds.

Cleaning

Should the instrument become soiled through daily use, clean with a damp cloth and mild household detergent. Never use
aggressive cleaning agents or solvents to clean the instrument.
To prevent electric shocks, do not allow moisture to penetrate the housing.

Maintenance

Given operation in accordance with the operating manual, the instrument will not require special maintenance, with the exception of
the batteries.
