Rules for product configuration

– The output module CPX-FVDA-P may only be used in the standard version of
the CPX terminal from Festo.
– Operation is only permitted in conjunction with the following PROFIsafe com-
patible CPX bus nodes, with revision code Rev. 18 or later (
plate):
– CPX-FB33 (network protocol PROFINET IO)
– CPX-FB34 (network protocol PROFINET IO) or
– CPX-FB35 (network protocol PROFINET IO)
– Operation in CPX valve terminals is only permitted with VTSA pneumatics,
type 44 and type 45.
– A maximum of one output module CPX-FVDA-P may be used for each CPX ter-
minal or CPX valve terminal.
– The output module CPX-FVDA-P may only be installed directly adjacent to the
pneumatic interface for VTSA pneumatics or the right end plate.
– Only the following components are permitted when assembling the module:
– Interlinking block CPX-M-GE-EV-FVO
– Connection block CPX-M-AB-4-M12X2-5POL.

Possible incorrect application

Non-intended use includes the following foreseeable misuse:
– use outdoors
– use in non-industrial areas
– use outside the limits of the product defined in the technical data
– unauthorised modifications
– use in combination with consumers where switching off can result in hazard-
ous movements or statuses
Note
The use of connection and interlinking blocks that are not specified here is not
permissible.
