On/Off Switch
The ON/OFF switch is located on the underside of the
unit. When the green strip is visible, the unit is on.
Rear Deflector Lever
Push the rear deflector lever (see Figure 5) on the floor
base up to feed to the front of the collator or into a Stitch/
Fold or Deep Pile Stacker unit. For more details about
using the rear deflector see the Vario operating manual.

Conveyor Release Lever
Normally the conveyor release lever control (see Figure
3) should be pushed in.
However, if either a Suction Bin or Aeration Module is
installed at the bottom of the collator tower and you are
feeding into a Stitch/Fold unit, better feeding can be
achieved by pulling the conveyor release lever control
out and then locating it in the slot to lock it into place. This
disengages the lower conveyor shaft and allows the set
to fall freely into the Stitch/Fold.
Adjust the Sidelays
Adjust the sidelays to the correct width for the set you are
going to feed. The sidelays should be nearly touching the
sides of the set. If the sidelays are too tight the set will not
travel smoothly into the conveyor.
