1. General information
This ski and snowboard helmet offers the best head protection against external impacts
available on the market today. However, it can never guarantee that the wearer will not
sustain injuries. Our ski and snowboard helmets comply with European standard EN 1077;
some of them are also US ASTM F 2040 certified (check the label). All our helmets comply
with European Directive 89/686/EEC and thus bear the CE mark. In accordance with this
standard, our helmets are tested for shock absorption, protection against penetration and
lateral impact, chin strap strength and head coverage. A Class A helmet provides ultra
high-performance protection for skiers and snowboarders. A Class B helmet is suitable for
skiers and snowboarders whose requirements are a little less restrictive. This means that
a Class B helmet can offer a higher level of ventilation and comfort without sacrificing too
much in the way of protection.
2. Finding the „right" helmet
2.1 Head circumference in cm
The correct helmet size is determined from the head circumference (measured
1 fingerbreadth above the eyebrows). Many dealers can provide measuring tapes
for head measurement.
2.2 Trying on the helmet
Try on several helmets from a number of manufacturers. You will soon notice the
differences between them. It is important for a helmet to have a certain slip, i.e. the
helmet must be felt to enclose the head. The padding must hold the helmet comfortably
firm against the head, without being too tight. Don't forget to look in the mirror - the
helmet must suit you!
