• Place a combination joiner's square
next to the blade on the left.
• Lock the angle by pushing down on
the bevel lock lever and retighten the
set screw.
Rotate the handle until the bevel
indicator points to zero. If the handle is
turned as much as possible and does
not indicate zero correctly, you may
need to adjust the bevel indicator.
NOTE: It will be necessary to remove
the lever to adjust the bevel indicator.
If the blade is not an exact 45°:
angle:
• Loosen the set screw and bevel lock
knob.
• Attach a combination joiner's square
to the left blade.
• Rotate the handle until the bottom of
the blade has fully moved to the left
side of the slot. Lock the angle by
pushing the bevel lock lever.
• If the blade is not at an exact 45 °
angle, loosen the 45 ° adjusting screw
and the bevel lock lever.
• Set the bevel indicator to 45 °
• .Make a test cut.
TO VERIFY THE ALIGNMENT OF
THE CUTTING GUIDE TO THE
BLADE
See Figure 49.
• Unplug the saw.
• Raise the lock lever to allow the
cutting guide to move.
• Place a carpenter's square next to
the blade and move the cutting guide
to the carpenter's square. Take the
dimension on the cut guide scale.
• Move the fence back and turn the
carpenter's square 180 ° to check
the other side.
• Retighten the two bolts.
• If the two dimensions are not the
same, loosen the two bolts on the
fence and align it.
• Retighten the two bolts.
• Make two or three test cuts in the
scrap wood. If the cuts are not true,
repeat the process.
