Using the Curing Filter
Your XVI comes with an orange curing filter. It is
attached to the headlight bezel with a friction
fit. Flip the filter down when applying light-cured
polymers. Unfiltered light from the XV1 headlight is
powerful enough to cause premature curing of the
polymer composites.
To remove the filter, pull the black filter ring off the
bezel with moderate force to break the friction.
To install the filter, carefully push the black filter
ring onto the headlight bezel. Be careful to position
the flip-up hinge of the filter at the top of the
headlight so that the filter can be flipped up and out
of the way of the light.
DO NOT push or pull on the orange
filter itself. It may crack or break if
CAUTION
excessive force is applied.
