Getting Started – Adjusting Your XV1
You can customize the fit of your XV1 to your facial anatomy to maximize comfort and performance.
1.
Set up the XV1 for use
a.
The batteries are partially charged
and ready to use when shipped. To
charge them fully prior to use, see
Charging the Batteries, page 5).
b. Insert the batteries in the pods. The
metal contacts of the battery should
be visible in the pod opening.
c.
Screw the pods clockwise onto the
temple arms.
CAUTION:
Do not over-tighten the battery pods.
2.
Adjust the temple arms and head strap
a.
Bend the temple arms to conform to
the shape of your head.
b. Place the frame on your head and
tighten the head strap bead. The
XV1 should fit comfortably and also
relieve pressure on your nose from
the telescopes.
c.
To remove the XV1, loosen the head
strap bead, grasp the temple arms,
and pull the frame forward.
3.
Contour the nose pad for comfort
a.
Spread the nose pad apart, or
squeeze the nose pad together for
comfort. Squeezing the nose pad
together also creates more
ventilation behind the lenses and
reduces fogging.
b. Flatten or twist the ends of the nose
pads as desired for comfort.
