2. INTRODUCTION

3. PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

2. Removable and interchangeable hot plates with built-in resistance:
2a. 1 Griddle plate
2b. 1 Grill plate
3. Thermostat for left-hand plate
4. Thermostat for right-hand plate
5. Brushed stainless steel guard to protect against splashes
6. System to lock/unlock the plates
7. Drip tray for collecting the grease from cooking
8. Spatula for cleaning

4. USE

a. Before first use
Before you use it for the first time, clean the main body of the appliance, as well as the control buttons,
with a damp cloth. Wash the plates, the drip tray and the scraping tool in hot soapy water or in the
dishwasher. Refer to the section on "Cleaning and Maintenance" for more information.
b. Installing the hot plates
• Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean and dry surface, at least 10 centimetres away from walls
and any furniture items. The control panel should be facing you.
• Grill hot plate: a ribbed surface which is perfect for grilling steaks, hamburgers, chicken or vegetables.
• Griddle hot plate: surface which is perfect for cooking crêpes, eggs, fine cuts of meat, fish or shellfish.
• Insert each hot plate in the central metal notches located at the base of the appliance, and then into
the side notches. Then press gently down on the hot plate so as to ensure that it has been correctly
secured in place.
• To remove the hot plates, press the unlocking button for each plate, located on each side of the
appliance. Then lift the hot plates up (Fig.1).
Note: Each hot plate can be fitted on either side of the griddle.
c. Installing the anti-splash guard
• Place the anti-splash guard on the edges of the appliance (Fig. 2).
• The two metal notches that jut out from the sides should be placed on the inside of the appliance.
• The metal notch located in the middle of the guard should be placed on the inside of the appliance
(Fig.3).
