Arc eye
The arc produced by welding may damage the eyes.
• Wear protective clothing and eye protection.
NOTE

• The ABIPLAS
WELD welding torches may only be operated by
qualified personnel.
®
• As the ABIPLAS
system, the operating instructions of the welding components, such as the
robot control system, must be observed during operation.
• Check the actual gas flow at the measuring instruments or by closing and
opening the corresponding gas outlet openings at the torch.
Prior to each putting into operation:
1 Check the connections of the cable assembly to the power source, gas
supply and re-circulating cooling unit for tight fit.
2 Check the function of the re-circulating cooling unit and the flow.
3 Check for correct flow of the two process gases.
4 Check the setting of the maximum main current on the display of the power
source.
1 Open the shielding gas cylinder and switch on the power source.
2 Ignite the pilot arc.
3 Position welding torch close above the work-piece. Distance between work-
piece and shielding gas nozzle approx. 5 mm.
4 Ignite main arc and actuate switching element at the handle.
5 Start the welding process.
6 The plasma welding torch is running.
1 Switch off main current and pilot current.
2 Switch off the power source.
3 Close the shut-off valve and the gas supply.
