Within the EEA (European Economic Area), the current version of the national
implementation of the Framework Directive (89/391/EEC) and the related
individual directives and, of these, especially Directive (89/655/EEC)
concerning the minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work
equipment by workers at work must be adhered to. In Germany, the Labor
Protection Law and the Company Safety Ordinance must be heeded. In
addition, the operator must ensure that the welding torch and welding unit
comply with the EC EMC Directive (04/108/EC) and that the signal utilization
of the integrated welding current monitoring against stray currents is installed
properly.
