2. Attach the parallel gripper with the aid of centring
sleeves 1, if necessary. The maximum permissible
tightening torque for the mounting screws 2 is 2.9
Nm.
Note
In the case of direct mounting, non−ferromagnetic
screws must be used to prevent the displacement
measurement from being affected.
Mounting the parallel gripper: Dovetail mounting
1. Switch off the compressed air supply and the operat
ing voltage.
2. Attach the parallel gripper by using an adapter kit 9
and an adapter plate 8. The maximum permissible
tightening torque for the mounting screws 7 is 5.9
Nm.

3.2 Pneumatic installation

Proceed with the pneumatic installation of the HGPPI−... as
follows:
1. Switch off the compressed air supply and the operat
ing voltage.
2. Screw in the tubing fitting/silencer.

3.3 Electrical installation

Earth terminal
The earth connection must be connected with low impe
dance (short cable with large cross−sectional area)
to the earth potential using the supplied earthing kit.
You can thereby avoid faults due to electromagnetic in
fluences and ensure electromagnetic compatibility
in accordance with EMC guidelines.
