Before You Begin

- Inspect the bath/shower module for damage before you begin installation.
- Observe local plumbing and building codes.
- Leave the packaging material in place until you begin installation.
- Be sure you have sufficient access to move the module into the construction area. FRP shower modules are too
large to fit through standard door openings. Place the module within the installation area prior to completion of
framing. An optional procedure is to omit the studs in one wall or to install the studs without securing to allow
the module to be moved into place.
- Insulate all exterior walls before installation.
- When a fire rated wall is specified, the stud opening dimensions are to the inside of the wallboard.
- If the module will be installed adjacent to the vertical ducts or chases, surround the unit with fire rated gypsum
wallboard.
- The basin area requires no additional support when the subfloor is level and square with respect to the stud
framing. Consider using shims for additional support if the subfloor is uneven.
- Consult all applicable manufacturer's instructions for options and accessories before beginning this installation.
- Position the plumbing, as required, according the the manufacturer's instructions. Provide access to all plumbing
connections. This is a one piece module, and you cannot make the drain and overflow connections by reaching
over the end of the module.
- Position the rough drain plumbing according to the roughing in dimensions.
- Connect the valve to the water supplies and check for leaks before installing the module.
- When moving the module, avoid flexing the side walls or top to prevent damage.
- Protect the module floor with a drop cloth or similar material during installation.
- All information is based upon the latest product information available at the time of publication. Kohler reserves
the right to make changes in product characteristics, packaging or availability at any time without notice.
