CHARGE THE BATTERY
Before using for the first time
If your lawnmower is not used for
more than one month.
ALWAYS charge the battery
immediately after use!
1. Remove the safety
key (E).
(If the safety key
is not removed,
the Battery
Charge Indicator
light will flash
twice repeatedly
for approximately
1 minute.)
2. Connect the
charger cable to
the socket.(F)
3. Connect the
charger cable to
the mains supply
and switch on.
4. WHAT THE LIGHT SHOWS
WHEN CHARGING (G):
Flashing Red light
Steady amber light = Battery 5 - 30%
Flashing green light = Battery 30 - 60%
Steady green light = Battery 60 -100%
Approximately 16 hours to full charge.
There is a usable charge when the
light is steady green or flashing green
When charging is complete. Switch off
at the mains and remove the charger
cable from the socket (F).
NOTE
The Royal 47RC can be left connected
to the charger permanently, with the
charger switched on, without risk of
overcharging.

WHEN MOWING (G):
Steady green light
Flashing green light
Steady amber light
Flashing Red light
6. STEADY RED LIGHT WHEN
MOWING
On starting the lawnmower, whilst the
motor gets to normal speed.
On stopping the lawnmower, when the
brake is engaged.
The lawnmower motor is overloaded -
see "How to Mow".
The battery needs to be charged.
For maximum battery life
ALWAYS charge the battery
immediately after use!
= Battery 100 - 60%
= Battery 60 - 35%
= Battery 35 - 10%
= Battery 10 - 0%
