Default number of lifts
Using the controller (11), you can preset the
desired number of lifts even in run.
1 – 2
low number of lifts
3 – 4
medium number of lifts
5 – 6
high number of lifts
Required number of lifts depends on the type of
material, and can be found out through a prac-
tical test. Sheet metal of maximum thickness
should be sheared using the 5–6 level.
After a longer work with low number of lifts leave
the shears in idle run for 1–3 mins at maximum
number of lifts (level 6).
Swinging and replacement of
knives
Pull the mobile supply plug out of the socket.
Knives (6) and (7) of a single-shear type are
interchangeable, not between the both types
though.
You can use four knife blades.
Swing the knife always by 90° to a new cutting
edge. In case all four edges get blunt, replace
the knives for new ones.
Screw the bolt (9) of the respective knife out,
swing the knife by 90° and tighten the bolt (9).
Make sure the setscrew (8) descends on the
knife.
Adjustment of knives spacing
The spacing between knives (a) of
machines delivered is adjusted by
the manufacturer.
EN 16 E: 0.2 mm
EN 25 E: 0.5 mm
For tough, fragile or thin surfaces we recommend
the below values to achieve an ideal quality of
shear (cut):
Sheet metal
Sheet metal
strength
Thin, tough
0.3–0.6 mm
Fragile
0.8–1.2 mm
Fragile
1.3–1.6 mm
Fragile
1.7–2.0 mm

Spacing
between knives (a)
0.1 mm
0.25 mm
0.3 mm
0.4 mm
Release fixed knife (7) and use setscrew (8) to
adjust the spacing advised. Use feeler gauge to
review the spacing. Tighten the fixed knife with
the bolt (9).
ATTENTION! Knives must not touch, make sure
there is a minimum space between them!
Adjustment of knives height
Knives are adjusted by the manufacturer. If, in
some cases, the height of mobile knife needs to
be adjusted, proceed as follows:
Push the pan (3) in the upper dead centre.
Screw the bolt (10) out and remove the shoe (4).
Rotate the pan as required to the right or left by
one turn. Rotating to the left reduces the spacing
and right rotating increases it.
Screw the pan (3) out for fine adjustment, swing
the connecting hinge (5) by half turn to the right
or left.
Screw the pan back in and fasten the shoe pro-
perly.
Most favourable quality of shear is achieved
with 0–0.2 mm spacing.

Environmental Protection/
Disposal
Power tools, accessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools
into household waste!
According to the European Directive
2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic
equipment and its incorporation into national
law, power tools that are no longer suitable for
use must be separately collected and sent for
recovery in an environmental-friendly manner.
