- MAINTENANCE

Virtual cable does not require any special maintenance. The electronic diagnostic
system (Chap. 4.4) and the dedicated App (Chap 4.7) allow you to check if the Virtual
cable is functioning properly by detecting any possible malfunctions.
6.1 HOW TO RECHARGE THE BATTERIES
CONTROL UNIT (CPU): recharge via USB port under the CPU shell, approximate time with
1A charger: 6/8h (fig_6.1)
DO NOT RECHARGE THE SYSTEM WHILE USING.
In order to recharge the CPU, disconnect it from the VEST ( TAG ). (please refer to
figure 4.8)
MOTORCYCLE ANCHOR: recharge via USB port on the side of the shell, approximate time
with 1A charger: 6/8h (fig_6.2)
Once charged, the systems remain in charge for up to 25/30 hours.
When the LED turns STEADY RED, CHARGE THE CPU as soon as possible.
CHARGE THE ANCHOR before each use

6.2 BATTERY STORAGE

The system works with lithium polymer batteries, therefore you must respect the
following general notes:
1 You must not
■ expose the battery to heat sources
■ expose the battery to direct sunlight
■ expose the battery to low temperatures
■ throw the battery into the fire
■ place the battery next to microwave generators
2 Never place the charger connected with the battery on flammable or elec-
trically conductive surfaces. Never use or charge batteries near flammable
materials or in the presence of flammable gases.
3 Do not leave the battery unattended when in use or while recharging.
4 Do not recharge batteries when they are very hot. Let them cool down to
room temperature first.
5 Do not immerse the battery in water or other liquids.
6 Do not open or tamper with the battery.
7 Do not use the battery in places subject to high static electricity.
8 In case of loss of electrolyte, keep it away from the fire, as it is highly flam-
mable.
