6. Lubricate the cylinder.
a. Loosen the 4 mm hex. bolt, then remove the engine top cover (see
page 55).
b. Remove the spark plug (see page 56).
c. Apply a couple of drops of clean engine oil into the cylinder.
d. Install the engine top cover temporarily.
e. Pull the starter grip several times to distribute the oil in the cylinder.
f. Remove the engine top cover, then reinstall the spark plug.
g. Install the engine top cover, and tighten the 4 mm hex. bolt securely.
7. Pull the starter grip slowly until resistance is felt.
8. Cover the engine to keep out dust.
9. Store the backpack sprayer in a safe, locked place inaccessible to children or
cattle, and free of dust and humidity away from sparks. Place a tarpaulin or
plastic sheet over the machine during storage.
