Possible Cause
Improper cookware being used.
In some areas, the power (voltage) may be low.
Large pans hold heat.
The oven vent is blocked.
The surface units are not plugged in solidly.
The surface unit controls improperly set.
The drip pans are not set securely in the cooktop.
A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit
breaker tripped.
Improper cookware being used.
Your new oven has a different cooking system from
your old oven and therefore may cook differently
than your old oven.

Cover pan with a lid until desired heat is obtained.
Choose a pan that matches the size of the surface unit
you are using.

With the controls off, check to make sure the surface unit
is plugged completely into the receptacle.
Check to see the correct control is set for the surface unit
you are using.
With the controls off, check to make sure the drip pan is
in the recess in the cooktop and that the opening in the
pan lines up with the receptacle.
Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and
temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven
is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature
yourself to meet your specific cooking preference.
