Operation Testing

Operation Testing
1. Turn on power to the pump.
2. Test pump operating switch by pressing lightly on
the external test/run lever to start the motor.
3. Test overflow detection switch by pressing lightly
on the external test lever. Confirm switch oper-
ates as intended.

• Do not allow the tank to overflow during this maintenance.
• Inspect and test the condensate removal system condition and operation every 6 months (more frequently in heavy-use applica-
tions).
To inspect and clean the tank and other components, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the pump from the power
source.
2. Remove tank from the pump assembly.
• Remove 6 screws that secure the tank.
• Carefully remove the tank from the
pump assembly and hold level.
3. Be sure the floats move freely. Clean as
necessary.
4. If motor shaft does not rotate freely, check
for obstructions in volute. To remove
volute:
• Remove 8 screws and washers.
• Remove volute and o-ring. Check for
obstructions and clean as necessary. Do
not remove impeller.
• Reinstall o-ring to mating part.
• Carefully replace volute, ensuring o-ring remains in position on mating part.
• Install 8 screws and washers. Use caution not to over-tighten screws.
5. Clean the tank with warm water and mild soap.
6. Flush tank with fresh water to ensure that residual condensate does not create localized pockets of
acid that could cause pitting.
7. Check inlet and outlet piping. Clean as necessary. Be sure there are no kinks that would inhibit flow.
8. Reassemble outlet piping to compression fitting with new compression ferrule to ensure leak-proof
connection.
9. Inspect the check valve and clean with warm water and mild soap if necessary.
10. Reattach the tank to pump assembly. Install 6 screws, using caution not to over-tighten.
