3.14 Analysis and adjustment:
1. Observe whether the rear wheel thrust angle is out of tolerance (standard: ± 0.25° ), and carry out rear wheel toe adjustment if so.
2. Observe whether the king pin inclination angle and the king pin caster are out of tolerance or the central value is greater than 0.5° . If so,
check the chassis for deformation. In case the king pin inclination angle is out of tolerance, relevant accessories must be replaced; in case
the king pin caster is out of tolerance, proper correction and reforming instead of adjustment must be performed; otherwise this may lead
to deviation and affect the straightening capacity of steering wheel.
3. Observe whether the front & rear wheel cambers are out of tolerance. Generally, proper adjustment shall be carried out if the central
value is greater than 0.5° , which is easy to lead to deviation and wear of tires.
4. Observe whether the front wheel and the rear wheel toes are out of tolerance. Generally, proper adjustment shall be carried out if the
central value is greater than 0.3° . Statistically, more than 90% of eccentric wear of tire on vehicle is caused by the toe out-of-tolerance.
5. Gradually adjust each angle to the standard range.
6. Before four-wheel alignment, the vehicle shall be subject to unified vehicle condition inspection for eccentric wear of tire, deformation
of hub, deformation of chassis suspension parts, unequal suspension height, uneven tire pressure, improper vehicle weight, etc. After these
influences are eliminated, the remaining vehicle faults can be eliminated with the wheel aligner.
3.15 Adjustment of rear and front wheels:
Window description:
Adjust these values on left and right sides to the respective standard ranges by reference to the standard data, after which the screen
color changes correspondingly.
The out of tolerance data is displayed in red, and the normal data is displayed in green.
Click the tool icon and the animation guide icon to display the information on tools required for angle adjustment and simple animation
guide.
