Important Safety Notes

or use flammable items near the tank.

this unit. Water can reach temperatures up to 210° F (99° C),
capable of causing severe burns. Always use caution when
operating the unit to avoid spills or overflows.
WARNING: Risk of personal injury. Do not install this unit in
public areas or any place where there is unsupervised access to
this appliance.
IMPORTANT! Risk of product damage. Do not flush with chlorine.
This unit will not operate properly if flushed with chlorine.
NOTE: Installation of a water filtration system is recommended if
your water supply has a high chlorine content.
If you are away from home for extended periods of time, unplug
the unit.
IMPORTANT! The water filtration system must not cause the water
pressure to drop below 30 psi (207 kPa). The unit will not function
properly if this occurs.
NOTE: Follow the procedures in the Kohler Hot Water Dispenser
Homeowners Guide if one or both of the following circumstances
applies to you:
If your unit is installed in a summer home, drain the tank to
protect it from freezing temperatures, and then unplug the unit.
If your water has a heavy mineral content, you may need to drain
the unit periodically to remove any sediment that has gathered at
the bottom of the tank.
NOTE: A rattling noise in the tank is normal. This is caused by
moving parts inside.
