WARNING!
The blade must fit flat against the blade fix-
ture flange. The blade mounting hole must be cen-
tered over the raised arbor on blade fixture (N).
CAUTION!
Install the blade so its printed surface is vis-
ible to the operator when the brushcutter is in the nor-
mal operating position.
IMPORTANT!
Discard blades that are bent, warped, cracked, broken
or damaged in any way. Use a sharp blade. A dull blade
is more likely to snag and thrust.
WARNING!
Holder (I) must fit flush against the blade
and splines must be engaged with splines
on output shaft.
BLADE INSTALLATION -
Type 2 Gear Case (with grooved shaft/clip):
1. Place unit in a stable position.
2. Place blade over mounting arbor on blade fixture (N).
3. Install clip (Q) in shaft groove to retain blade.
4. Place holder (I) on output shaft, covering clip. Holder
must fit flat against blade and completely cover clip.
5. Lock gear case with hex wrench.
6. Install bolt guard (H) and shaft bolt (G). Tighten bolt
firmly in a counterclockwise direction.
7. Remove hex wrench.
BLADE INSTALLATION -
Type 1 Gear Case (without grooved shaft/
clip):
1. Place unit in a stable position.
2. Place blade over mounting arbor on blade fixture (N).
3. Lock gear case with hex wrench.
4. Install bolt guard (H) and shaft bolt (G). Tighten bolt
firmly in a counterclockwise direction.
5. Remove hex wrench.
REMOVE BLADE
1. Lock holder and output shaft.
2. Turn shaft bolt clockwise to remove.
3. Remove hex wrench.
4. Remove bolt guard, holder and clip (Type 2 gear
case only), and blade.
