15. Remove the four screws (3) that secure the instrument
cluster (1) to the instrument panel armature (2).
16. Pull the top of the instrument cluster rearward far
enough to access and disconnect the instrument
panel wire harness connectors from the connector
receptacles on the back of the cluster housing.
17. Remove the instrument cluster from the instrument
panel.
18. Remove the glove box (1).
19. Remove the trim plug (1) from the access hole in the
top of the defroster grill between the windshield and
the I/P.
20. Working through the access hole, loosen the nut that
secures the passenger airbag upper bracket and the
instrument panel armature to the stud near the
windshield fence line.
