Safety grounding
The ground of every product is connect ed dir ect ly t o t he gr ound of your
com put er t hrough t he USB cable supplied. This is done in order t o m inim ise
int erference. Therefore, always use t he supplied cable t o at t ach t he product t o
your com put er .
As wit h m ost oscilloscopes, t ake care t o avoid connect ing t he ground input of
t he product t o anyt hing w hich m ay be at som e volt age ot her t han ground. I f
in doubt , use a volt m et er t o check t hat t her e is no significant AC or DC
volt age bet ween t he oscilloscope ground and t he point t o which you int end t o
connect it . Failure t o check m ay cause dam age t o t he product or com put er
and could cause inj ury t o yourself or ot hers.
You should assum e t hat t he product does not have a prot ect ive safet y eart h.
