Clearing Material Jams
If too much material is fed into the cutting mechanism, a material jam occurs. In the event
of a material jam, the device attempts to clear the jam automatically. The device switches
automatically between forward and reverse operation until the jammed material is freed.
Do not actuate any operating elements on the device during this process. The proc-

ess can take up to 3 minutes.
Then reduce the amount of material being fed into the shredder.

8.1
Reverse function (REV setting)
If the automatic attempt to clear a material jam proved unsuccessful, press the function
switch to its REV setting so that the cutting mechanism runs in reverse and releases the
material again.
If a material jam has occurred when the automatic paper infeed is in opera-

tion, you must also check whether there is any residual paper in the infeed
and remove it as well!
8.2
Removing residual paper from the manual paper in-
feed.
1. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position and disconnect the power plug from the
power socket.
2. Pull the jammed paper carefully from the manual paper infeed.
3. Reconnect the power plug in the power socket and set the On/Off switch to ON.
4. Set the function switch to its STOP position and then to AUTO.

1. Set the On/Off switch to its OFF position and disconnect the power plug from the
power socket.
2. Hinge up the safety guard on the automatic paper infeed.
3. Remove any jammed paper carefully from the cutting mechanism using a suitable
tool.
4. Hinge the safety guard on the automatic paper infeed back down.
5. Reconnect the power plug in the power socket and set the On/Off switch to ON.
6. Set the function switch to its STOP position and then to AUTO.
