and its self-learning program starts; this is confirmed by
1 beep emitted by the control unit (4 beeps indicate that
the device is already programmed).
06. Program the dip-switches (fig. 7) and set the trimmers
(fig. 7) with reference to chapter 3 - Programming; then
perform the operation "Test": see paragraph 3.1.
07. Close the container (fig. 8) and attach HSDOM21/22 to
the mounting bracket (fig. 9).
3 - PROGRAMMING
HSDOM21/22 has 5 "dip-switches" (fig. 7) which allow for
the programming of certain operating parameters and 2 ad-
justment "trimmers" (PT1 and PT2 - fig. 7): see Table 1
and Table 2.
3.1 - Programming procedure and operation "Test"
01. First, program the infrared detector with 1 pulse per
alarm: dip-switch 3 = OFF (Table 1).
02. Then, program the "sensitivity" of the PIR infrared de-
tector: dip-switch 2 at the minimum value necessary
(Table 1).
03. Set the "delay after intrusion" value to the minimum:
trimmer PT2 (fig. 7).
04. Set the microwave detector sensitivity value (trimmer
PT1 - fig. 7).
05. Check the coverage of the protected area: make short
movements inside the area and check the signals emit-
ted by the LED. Adjust the sensitivity value if necessary.
Caution! – The infrared sensor lens is fixed to the cover
and therefore the detection tests must be performed with
the device closed.
06. After adjusting the sensitivity, to reduce the risk of im-
proper alarms, set dip-switch 3 to ON (2 pulses per
alarm).
07. Use trimmer PT2 to set the minimum duration of the
movement that generates an alarm signal.
08. After the operation check, it is advisable to set dip-
switch 4 to ON to turn off LED signalling.
09. To activate the "double alarm" function, acquire the sen-
sor in AND mode as follows:
a. At the start, leave the dip-switch set to OFF
b. Proceed with the acquisition of the 2 detectors on the
control unit
c. Insert the batteries and acquire the sensor as the first
detector
d. Set the dip-switch to ON and acquire the sensor as
the second detector.
3.2 - Signals (Table 3)
HSDOM21/22 has 1 LED with 3 colours and a buzzer that
emits acoustic signals.
In the product, the infrared detector is always active and,
if an intrusion event is detected (green LED on), it activates
the microwave detector immediately (orange LED on); if this
one also confirms the existence of a moving body, the alarm
status is generated (red LED on).
Caution! – To comply with standard EN50131 the LED must
remain off. Dip-switch 4 set to ON.
The low battery signal is activated 15 to 30 days in advance
before total batteries are totally discharged. However, the
batteries should be replaced as soon as possible after the
signal. When the batteries are partially discharged, incorrect
alarm signals may be generated.
