1. Connect the diagnostic scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC). You may have to manually enter the VIN.
2. Select Vehicle Preparation and perform the PROXI Configuration Alignment routine.
3. Put all the FOBiKs used in this vehicle on the front seat away from the console.
4. With the scan tool select: "Program ignition FOBIKs" in the Vehicle Preparation menu
and
5. After all the FOBIKs have been programmed, turn the ignition on.
6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position, wait 30 seconds, then cycle the ignition back to the ON/RUN position.
7. Check for any active DTCs. If any are present, go to Section 28 and perform the appropriate procedure.
Perform normal diagnosis for any fault codes that reset.
8. Turn the ignition off and check each FOBiK for proper operation. Be sure vehicle starts normally with
both new Fobs.
1. Select BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM).
2. Select MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS tab.
3. Select TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE.
4. Following the prompts, verify the remote start is enabled.
5. The cluster will chime several times, then both cluster and BCM will be reset.
With the vehicle off, and the doors closed and locked, verify the remote start is functioning properly.
