1) Mount the column on the base. Make
sure the fixing pin in the column is
pointing forward and the upper slot
(33) is pointing to the right.
2) Secure the flange to the base by fix-
ing screws (12).
3) Fit the plate holder (13) on the col-
umn from above and fix it in place.
4) Mount the machine head on the
drilling column and fix it in place by
the screw (21) on the side.
5) Screw on the levers for the advance
and the motor adjuster.
6) Mounting the drill chuck:
Degrease the taper bore of the work
spindle, the tapered mandrel and
the taper bore of the drill chuck and
push them firmly together.
The drill chuck does not have to
be additionally secured. It is held
in place adequately by the taper
attachment, provided the tapers
have been degreased and cor-
rectly joined.
7) Fit the protective disk by first screw-
ing the holder into the housing and
then tightening the lock nut.
8) Mount the protective disk and fix it
in place with the tommy screw.
9) Unscrew (19) and remove cover (1)
(using an allen key, size 6).

10) Release and remove belt.
11) Plug the connector (34) in the ma-
chine head into the socket on the
upper drilling column.
12) Re-fit belt, close hood and screw
dow.
Please note: Machine will not
start unless protective hood is
closed.

13) Plug the connector in the machine
head into the socket on the upper
drilling column (32).
14) Feed the power cable through the
openings provided on the side re-
quired, ensuring the cable is pro-
tected by the rubber plugs.
• For safety, the machine should be
bolted on to the workbench.
• Plug the power plug into a ground-
ed wall socket outlet.The machine is
now ready to run.
