Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the Grill/Griddle is unplugged and completely cooled before
cleaning or attempting to store the item.
It is important to clean your Grill/Griddle thoroughly after each use to prevent
sticky build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the Grill/Griddle
can lead to a cleaner, better tasting food.
1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, turn the
temperature probe to "O" OFF and be sure to unplug from the power outlet
first and allow item to cool completely before removing the temperature
probe.
2. Remove the temperature probe from the unit. Gently remove the completely
cooled grill/griddle and clean the surface and outer surface using a soft cloth
or sponge and warm soapy water. NEVER IMMERSE THE GRILL/GRIDDLE OR
TEMPERATURE PROBE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
3. Allow the base to cool completely before cleaning. Once cooled, clean the
base with a soft cloth or sponge and warm soapy water. The base may be
immersed in water. Do not place the base in the dishwasher.
4. Remove stubborn stains or cooked on food with a plastic scouring pad and
mild dish washing liquid.
