Cleaning and Care

• Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power outlet and the grill plates
and drip tray have cooled down fully before cleaning or storing.
• Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid
for cleaning.
• Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or cleaning materials (such as steel wool,
scouring pads, oven cleaners or sharp objects) on any part of the appliance.
• Clean the appliance after each use.
• Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance and let it
cool down until the grill plates and the drip tray are safe to touch.
• The drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Remove it, discard the fat and
replace the drip tray to catch any water from cleaning the plates.
Hold the top plate open when cleaning to ensure it does not close accidentally.
• Wipe the grill plates with a paper towel to clean off any excess fat or food. Then
wipe the plates with a cloth or soft sponge dampened in warm soapy water,
allowing any run-off to be caught in the drip tray. Wipe dry with a soft cloth or
paper towel.
• To remove stubborn spots, gently rub the area with a cloth dampened with
cooking oil while the grill plates are still warm (not hot). Do not use metal utensils
or abrasive products to remove food residues.
• Remove the drip tray and wash it in warm soapy water. Dry the tray thoroughly
before placing it back into the grill.
• If the grill exterior needs cleaning, wipe it with a damp cloth. Make sure that no
moisture or oil enters the appliance.
Storage
• Ensure the appliance has completely cooled and is clean and dry.
• Store it in its original carton, which will protect it from dust, in a clean and dry
place.
