Ensure you have a SCIM module ready to install before opening the
chassis top cover.
•
Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
•
Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off. You cannot hot swap
internal components.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 Remove the Secure Router 2330 top cover. See Removing the
Secure Router 2330 top cover.
2 Locate the internal SCIM module connector slot.
3 Holding the SCIM module by its edges, align the connector with
the slot on the Main Board, pushing down gently, but firmly, to
seat the module.
The following figure shows the location for installing the SCIM
module.
4 Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screw that secures the
module to the Main Board.
